Soccer Residency

This week we had our soccer residency and teachers have said this was a great time of year to do it. Students have learned and practiced skills with expert instruction and are able to apply those skills to casual soccer other ball sports they love to play. Thank you to our school council for enabling us to have this residency once again!

Recess Play Equipment

New this year, classes have been allocated a bag of play equipment including a variety of balls, frisbee, skipping rope etc. which are colour coded for each class. Students are able to play with items during recess and lunch time. They can play with friends from other classes of course, but the colour coding helps the equipment find its way back to the correct class afterwards. This seems to be going very well, and students appreciate access to the equipment. The equipment promotes physical activity and cooperative play. Thank you to Mrs. Stewart for organizing this for our students to enjoy year round.

Spare Clothing

We like to keep a supply of spare clothing in case a student needs to change during the day for any reason. At this time, we are in need of pants for K-3 students. If you are having a clear out of outgrown pants, please consider donating to the school.

Swimming

Next week students in grades 1-5 are going swimming. Great news - we have had two more volunteers for the male changeroom step up today, so we are now good to go. We truly appreciate all the volunteers, without whom we would not be able to offer this activity.

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope you all enjoy a wonderful long weekend. School is back in on Tuesday.
