Scenic Acres Walking Fieldtrip Letter 2026
In our assembly today we talked about a strategy we are teaching around appropriate responses in times of student conflict. IMATT is an acronym standing for Ignore, Move away, Ask to stop, Tell to stop, Tell an adult. It is not an expectation that students move sequentially through this as a process, as there may be times it is appropriate to go straight to an adult. There will be a lot more teaching around this, but I’ve already heard that parents are adopting this at home, which will for sure help to reinforce the concepts.
Have a wonderful long weekend and we will see you back in school on Tuesday.
