Principal's Message - April 24, 2026

Scenic Acres School Council had a busy week with a very productive meeting on Wednesday and a family dance on Thursday.

Did you know anyone can attend council meetings? One of the most important ways you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of CBE students is by participating on school councils. By connecting students, schools, and your community, school councils help nurture and inspire students to achieve their full potential. The next meeting will be in person at the school on the evening of May 27.

The dance was a great success with 50-60 families attending each session. A huge thank you to the School Council Events Committee and all parent and student volunteers.

Coming up next week we have the Green Fools Circus Arts residency. Juggling is considered to be a highly regulating activity for both the brain and body. It acts as a "moving meditation" that improves focus, coordination, and emotional regulation, making it a valuable tool for reducing stress and enhancing mental well-being. Juggling and balancing are said to improve mental focus and mindfulness, neuroplasticity and coordination, and provide stress relief. The rhythmic nature of juggling, combined with the focus required, helps calm the nervous system - as well as being fun!

Traffic Safety

With St. Sylvester School having temporarily moved into the building at Monsignor Doyle School, the busy times outside of that building have changed. Please remind your students of traffic safety around the vicinity of Monsignor Doyle School, especially those who wheel to and from school.

Staff Updates

Ms. Carolina returns from leave on Monday, April 27. Holly Query returns May 11 and will have a transition day with Ms. Rawlings on that date.
