We hope you and your student(s) had an amazing first day at school and if you are yet to join us, we look forward to seeing you soon. Teachers and support staff have worked hard to prepare the classrooms and exciting learning activities, and we have a great year ahead! I am so proud of the team we have here!

A few things to note:

Welcome Back Community Breakfast

On Friday September 4 our wonderful School Council will be providing a Welcome Back Community Breakfast from 7:45-8:30am for students and family members. We hope you can join us!

South Entry Doors will Close at 8:30am

As a new routine, we will be closing the South entry doors at 8:30am every day. We know that we have been in the habit of holding the doors for students we can see approaching, however for accuracy of attendance, it is important that everyone arriving after 8:30 enter through the front doors and check in at the office. This is not intended to make anyone feel bad – we love to see you at school no matter what time you arrive! It is just for the security of having attendance taken accurately in the morning.

AMA Safety Patroller Program

Finally, grade 5 students who are interested in joining the AMA safety patroller program (AKA crossing guards) brought the paperwork home today. Our training day is booked for Tuesday September 8, so this is the deadline to return the 2 documents. We are excited to be introducing this program to Scenic Acres school!
